What helps us most

  • The app version and your iOS version.
  • The device or app that recorded the file, for example a Garmin Edge or a Wahoo.
  • The .fit file, if it is involved. It contains your GPS track and heart rate, so attach it only if you are comfortable with that.

Questions people ask

Does FitFitr change my original file?

Nothing changes until you apply an edit, and every edit is shown first on the chart, the map and in the numbers. Fields FitFitr does not understand are carried through untouched, so the saved file is the same file minus the problem you came to fix.

Which files can I open?

Activity files in the .fit format from Garmin, Wahoo, COROS, Polar, Suunto and other devices, from the Files app, AirDrop or the share sheet. A .fit file that is not an activity, such as a workout or a course, is not supported.

Does FitFitr upload my file anywhere?

No, with one exception you start yourself: tapping Upload to Strava after signing in to Strava. Everything else happens on your device. The privacy policy lists exactly what is sent and when.

My Strava upload failed

The upload sheet names the reason. If Strava says it already has the activity, it links to the existing one. If you lost the connection or the sign-in expired, try again, and disconnect and reconnect if it keeps failing. Write to us with the reason shown if none of that helps.

How do I turn analytics off, or disconnect Strava?

Both are in the app's Settings, and Strava can also be disconnected from the upload sheet. Disconnecting asks Strava to revoke the app's access and deletes the sign-in token from your device. You can also remove FitFitr at strava.com/settings/apps.

FitFitr says it cannot read my file

The file may be incomplete, damaged, or not an activity. Try opening the original from the device or app that recorded it. If it still fails, send it to us.
